TSC Society and Culture Excursion

Year 12 students completing the Society and Culture HSC course visit the Lankarama Buddhist Temple at Schofields. The students meet with Venerable Rajakeeya Panditha Meegahakumbure Dhammagavesi Thero (Banthdi) who was able explain the influence that technology may have on future directions of Buddhism on a local, national and global scale, an essential part of the Society and Culture syllabus. The students were also given a tour of the Temple grounds including many statues, a Bodhi tree and the Main Shrine. Banthdi invited Mr Feeney and the students back to the Temple for the opening of their new Meditation Hall on March 25.
